Because, uh, I’ve been digging around (as you do when you’re thinking about dropping serious cash on a timepiece), and the internet is, shall we say, *mixed* on this place. I mean, you got some peeps raving about how they scored this amazing deal, blah blah blah, “best place evah!” and all that jazz. Then you got the *other* side. The dark side.
This Ripoff Report pops up, screaming about a Tag Heuer Tiger Woods watch that was supposedly fake. Like, full-on counterfeit, man. And then, you see reviews where people are just, well, *pissed*. One person whined about a bracelet for their Omega Seamaster, but it doesn’t say if it was fake. And then there is that customer that thought that they can get an escrow to guarantee a refund on their purchase.
And, seriously, a rating of 1.7 stars out of 30 reviews? That’s not exactly confidence-inspiring, is it? It’s not like I’m expecting perfection, but that’s practically in “run screaming in the opposite direction” territory.
Okay, so here’s my take, and it’s just my opinion, alright? I’m no expert. But, like, something feels *off* about all this. You gotta ask yourself: How can they sell these Rolexes and Cartiers and IWC’s so much cheaper than everyone else? Are they getting them from the back of a truck? Are they, y’know, *slightly* less-than-authentic?
I’m not saying they *are* selling fakes, definitively. But the smoke is definitely there, y’know? And where there’s smoke…well, you get the picture. I mean, I saw one comment where someone said they saw a watch listed for one price on their website and then a *higher* price on their eBay page. WTH is that about? Makes ya wonder, doesn’t it?
Look, if you’re gonna drop a grand (or ten grand!) on a watch, do you *really* want to risk it? I mean, personally, I’d rather pay a little more at a reputable dealer and have the peace of mind. Yeah, it sucks shelling out the extra dough, but at least you know you’re getting the real deal.
Plus, honestly, their website design looks kinda… dated? Not that that *proves* anything, but it just adds to the overall feeling of…sketchiness, maybe? I don’t know.
